Bang on a Can redid Music for Airports semi-recently. It is excellent and meticulously done to a 'T', except they used live orchestral instruments instead of synthesizers.
If you liked Plateaux of Mirror I also recommend The Pearl which was sort of a follow up released in 84 (I think) and also features Harold Budd.
The Shutov Assembly and Drawn from Life are also excellent albums, Shutov released in the early 90s and Drawn from Life in 2001.

Nerve Net is incredibally silly yet good all the same. In fact many of his pop albums are kind of silly, Before and After Science being another ..
Are you familiar with Harmonia, Eno's project with members of Cluster?

I don't care too much for his ambient stuff, but his early albums and his work with Roxy Music knock me out.

warm jets and tiger are brilliant 70's rock. some of the best, imo.
discreet music (which failed to get a mention here), airports, pearl, apollo, drawn from life, on land, etc... all amazing stuff. the best ambient money can buy.
and hes supposed to be "boring", its wallpaper. its mood.
its not this new ambient crap where its like a half-finished techno song.
the orb knew that when they made terrarum.
