I just bought Ten for X (waiting for it to be delivered)
and it has LimeWire Pro with it.

Anyone who uses it got any remarks?
Is it decent?

i used to use it... but it wasn't very good.

well, now with iSwipe i can't find anything anymore either,
it's always "busy" (95% of the time -_-)

and i can't use Acquisition since i still have os X 10.1.5
(will change at next reformat).

there are a few soulseek clones or stuff, which either
doesn't work, either need unix knowledge or some weird stuff
to make it work. (i know some people here know how to make
it work, but i've read that it takes a few hours and a few
installations, terminal commands, and at least 10.2 or 10.3
too, so....)

mac os is a wasteland about p2p nowadays... = /

looks like riaa has quite won on the mac territory.
not totally, but still, quite.

(i usually ask a charitable PC-using soul to download the
things for me on soulseek...)

It's the first link on this page.

ahhh

well, i got other stuff with this box set too, so at least i
guess some stuff will be useful for LimeWire

yeah i know, i had a look at slsk for Mac......i DO know
some UNIX stuff........messed around with Linux for a while,
so I'm not totally clueless there, and i DO have Mac OS X
10.3.2, but I can't be arsed fucking around for a massive
download and stuff

the reason it takes so long is that it compiles as it
goes......i just don't see why they don't make a binary
distro of it :(

so you reckon Riaa would be one to use?

i could always install a winblows p2p proggy and use it in
Virtual PC

its just i had a bad experience with GIMP....I installed it,
and it wouldn't work...i think the install fucked up or
something
but the problem was that there was no uninstall - and with
UNIX application data can be in a number of different
places, so I had GIMP stuff all over the place

i like a tidy system you see

Free and good. enjoy.
Limewire and Iswipe suck.

oscillik > the Recording Industry Association of America...
(the ones who sue all the people and close all the p2p
apps)

Jaser > will try... ' _ '

far.

have you paid for it?

if so, what's the support like?

is it really that good?

the site looks brililant - styled just like apple.com

:)
that's a comforting sign

no, i haven't paid for it, you can download it from their
site for free. Its very good, you can get just about
anything off it and its very reliable.

see if it was worth my while with being into braindance and
all) and it didn't find anything!

but it did find other stuff (nin, ae, bjork etc)

i think i might end up buying this

thanks for the tip :)

i would never have found this othewise

have you also tried the other program he makes?

www.inquisitorx.com

it's a search thingy, like Sherlock

pretty good i think too

it will find lots of aphex twin, you just need to keep it
open for a few minutes to find enough sources
