My grandmother used to tell me that we both have a
black dog and a white dog inside of us. Which ever
one you feed the most eventually eats the other.

thats how it appears in my aim profile

I don't find them scary at all...a lot of the junk Snares
has done is just nonsense aimed at pissed off teenagers who
are trying to find an outlet for their agression. To me,
that sort of track is cheesy "look how nasty I am" sounds
and nothing more.

ahem *coughs* Bullshit!

its talented fast music, have you seen his live sets? as
talented as guitar solos!

its very funky, scary, evil, fast.

you dont have an arguement against it, your disses mean
NOTHING but biased opinions that cant hold a good arguement
on why you think hes crap.

No, my comments are based on personal opinion which, as odd
as it may sound to someone as elite as you, are as valid as
your opinions.

I find some of his stuff funky, I find most of it fast...but
the last thing I find it is scary or evil. Maybe I just
come from a different background to you?

Why exactly would I hold biased opinions? I have stated in
the past why I don't like most of his music...and quite a
few people agreed with me. Stop throwing your fucking dummy
out of the pram just because someone doesn't think the same
way as you.

I think ecnadniarb has a point. I like a lot of VS-stuff,
but I think a lot of the spoken lines in his songs, and some
of the song titles are just stupid. He doesn't shock me, for
sure

what i meant was the way you dissed it, like aggressive
teens. i thought that didnt hold a good arguement to why his
stuff isnt good or scary enough.
if i said i hated something, i would explain why, not diss
it rudely and childishly :p

haha :D

It is true though. It is like the core market for Nu-metal
or whatever it is called is teenagers...same mentality. It
wasn't a diss, people often use art for escapism, it's just
that not everyone is going to hold the same view of that art
as you :P

I realized that if my body broke I would... break into
blossom.

I don't think these lines are scary, though. But I don't
think they're meant as seriously as Dr. Brain here seems to
think either.

On a related note, I don't think I've actually found any
music "scary" since I was ten years old or so. This isn't
telling people who do to grow up or something - it's just
that music seems to be unable to influence me that way, even
though generally it touches me enough to make me one of
those people who prefer to always listen to an album all the
way through.

I don't think they are meant to be all that serious. I find
it funny that some people do take them seriously though :P

have stated before.

There is some that is more serious, that's true. The one I
quoted is from January, which is on WITBOAS - this is, from
what I've heard of his stuff so far (I only own it and the
wheelchair, and I have some scattered tracks from other
records that I got off slsk), the one album that seems to be
mostly serious to me, that really works as an album.

etc.

But I like a high amount of snares stuff. Pretty amusing

I thought WITBOAS was a 50/50 album...and that shit track
about the girl and the machine gun and stuff was not funny
or evil, just really embarressing.

Hmm, you have a point there. I do agree it's the weakest
track on the album. I don't want to get in a big discussion
about the merits of snares' work, though... while I
personally haven't discussed it much, I've certainly seen
that it comes up a lot here.

gwely: well, there you go. I haven't heard much from either
of those two (not that I don't plan to). As I said, I was
only talking about what I know.
