''You Won't See Me'' is the best song I've ever heard,
though nobody seems to agree. It's not one of the better
known tracks on Rubber Soul, sandwiched between two
megahits, but from the first time I heard it, I knew this
was my band.

the most underrated and overlooked track featuring ringo
starr is the beautiful "good night"
I love almost every beatles song and I realize it's cooler
to favor the stones or elvis, but they are my favorite.
(although, 'street fighting man' by the stones is one of my
favorite rock tunes of all time)..
My very top favorite beatles songs are:

she said (good job on the drums ringo)
good night
getting better
revolution
hey jude
yesterday (one of the best melodies ever)
here comes the sun (incredible)
aahhh...I can't pick and choose. I like them all. Especially
post drug experiments. You ever notice the colrrelation of
color televisaion and colorful thought?

real love
youve got to hide your love away
its only love
revolution 9/good night (gotta be back to back)
cry baby cry
golden slumbers
because
you never give me your money
a day in the life
the fool on the hill
she said she said
im only sleeping
your bird can sing

''Martha My Dear'' is amazing, in my top 10 Beatles songs,
and probably top 10 songs of all time. I like those gay
little pop songs, like ''Lovely Rita''.

And good call on ''Good Night'', that one's a gem.

yeah, some of those quiet white album tracks are insanely
creative. long, long, long, Mother nature's son, Balckbird,
Hippy music done, well.

As you wish, sir.

harmony -- This Boy

guitar solo -- I Want You (She's So Heavy)

love song -- Something

cheesy piano song youre embarassed to like -- Martha My
Dear. But I'm not embarrased! This song is a masterpiece.

funny/silly/insane song -- Obla Di Obla Da

Indian-influenced song -- Within You Without You (some
people think it's the weakest point of that album, but I
think the western/eastern instrumental interplay is
breathtaking, really gets intense)

country-influenced song -- I Don't Want to Spoil the Party

blues-influenced song -- I Want You (She's So Heavy)

psychodelic song -- Across the Universe

john peel once said that ob-la-di ob-la-da was thr worst
song ever written, and i'm inclined to agree with him. i
think mccartney just wrote it to wind up lennon.

harmony - because (surely?)

i want you would be in my top 5 beatles songs easily

Last weekend the party I went to was in the pub where the
Beatles made their first ever advertised performance...there
is a plaque bolted to the wall saying so.

The pub is a fucking dive.

ophecks: 'you won't see me' is my favourite track from
rubber soul, and the instrumental interplay on within you
without you is my favourite piece of music ever ... i love
all the songs with eastern arrangements.

the worst beatles song is honey pie imo.

i have to agree with EarthLeakage's agreeance... obla-di is
a terrible song... though my opinion of it is soiled by the
fact that i had to do the polka with this really ugly nerdy
girl who asked me to dance and then talked about how gross i
was when someone taunted her about it afterward... fuckin'
social dance...

What the hell, no! That was an awesome post until you dissed
Honey Pie!

WILD Honey Pie, I can understand. Atrocious 40 seconds of
music there. But Honey Pie is great. Obla Di also did
exactly what it was designed to so, so it's a smashing
success, a stupidly cute lil ditty. Paul has all your
numbers.

Ophecks: Thank you, your kind service will be remembered.

rez: yeah the instrumental interplay is great...

i like the simpler beatles though.. without the lavish
production.. unless its really psychodelic sounds, then it
serves a purpose

aaaaand this will just get bumped up to the top.....
*adjusts belt*.... OHHHH yeah...
