on top of the release of Hu Vibrational's second volume of
Bonghee Music (on SoulJazz), not to mention his own "Of
Snowdonia" album out this week on Plug Research, i've
discovered that he actually released an ep in Laboratory
Instinct in january called "Meanwhile...", and has yet
another forcoming album on this label called "A Gent Agent"
in may... and on his website it lists another album to come
out (within the next year i'd presume) on Mush called
"They'll Say He Left an Exquisite Corpse" with lots of guest
collaborations....
so, first order of business is to celebrate briefly...
now that that's done with, i'm wondering if anyone has
gotten their hands (digital or otherwise) on Meanwhile... i
read a review of it in Grooves, and it sounds rather
tasty...

i am utterly amazed at how i can find no information about
Snowdonia on the Plug Research site. it's like they haven't
updated their web site since November. same goes for Eastern
Developments.

yeah... if they had their act together, they'd probably sell
a bit better... i've heard the first six tracks from Of
Snowdonia... and i must say they are quite awesome...
Daedelus is totally the kind of thing that could have
hipster cross-over appeal if more people knew he existed...
Daedelus is very very underrated

well i've now heard Of Snowdonia about five or six times and
i must say i fucking love it... the man shifts effortlessly
across the spectrum from playful piano hop to loose-limbed
drill breaks... and his sound is pretty unique... a mash up
of organic instrumentation and analogue synths... and on
this record there's a several really nice vocal snippets...
real beautiful shit for the lighthearted... it's the kind of
release that you can say your "smitten" for... and fuck i'm
"smitten"
