(australia) sydney's train crisis

the sydney train system has always been bad, trains often
run up to half an hour late, constant delays etc are all
common, the government then introduced the "millenium
trains" which took up so much power that with the existing
power circuits, they can't even run them on most lines

and now recently, the transport miniter here brought in a
strict "health check" rule which is so strict, it sacked
nearly half of sydneys drivers, and the transport vowed for
a no bullshit safety crackdown on the system, which, last
week resulted in the entire city network getting shut down
during peak hour, I was driving through the city at the
time,.. and I've never seen more people on the streets in my
life, there was NO trains running, and then t just
snowballed form there, drivers are quitting in record
numbers, renegade drivers are refusing to do overtime, and
around half of the scheduled trains all around sydney are
getting cancelled due to driver shortage, some lines are no
longer running at all, and now they are comparing the
crowded condiitons on trains to third world countries, and
the worst thing of all is that there seems to be no
immediate fix to these problems,.. as it takes almost a year
to train a driver

and of course, this means there are more cars on the road,..
I have to travel 1 1/2 hours each day into the city for
work, and now it takes me about 2 1/2 hours,

this sucks

are comparing the

I'm glad I don't have to go to sydney tomorrow, or the next
day !

rad!

jason (manifestevil) plays horror movie soundtrack mixed
with venetian snares sounding stuff,

steve (dislasystem) plays beat heavy stuff too, harsh breaks
mostly

I actually have not much info on who else is playing, with
any luck ash "staplemouth" will be there, (if his girlfriend
doesn't con him out of it *whip cracking sound*)

also, my flatemate simon, and an old friend david
(derrigible) should be there too

damn. that not good....i used to travel like 3 hours a day
as well from the gold coast to brissie each day to go to
work....pretty crappy, all that wasted time listening to
underachiever assholes shouting into their mobile-phones
because they're not getting any sugar at home, so now
they're trina impress pretty secretary sitting on the other
side still applying make-up....she forgot her brain tho,
because she is actually buying the sexually frustrated guys
crap and sending him a smile....he abruptly gets off the
phone and revels in his new found territory that he can now
call "his"...the fuckin train....still living the illusion
of being a big successful business man, ..........i just
wonder where that private jet and mansion on the south of
france is?...onlay-by huh.

"rail system", is that hardly anyone uses it, so we've
gotten used to shit traffic ;)
