Yeh, Emily owned the shop with all the lost items. The Organ
mice were great, that woodpecker was called Prof.Yakult (not
the bacteria infested drink) or something like that.

i remember it well..

so do a lot of others it would seem - judging by the amount
of bagpuss memorabilia available. seems odd though, that a
lot of the teeshirts/ruck-sacks etc are being worn by kids
far too young to even have been born when it was on.. unless
theyre still screening it somewhere(?)
same goes for rainbow..

# up above the trees & the houses, rainbow shining high #

interesting fact about magic roundabout..
the reason it was so trippy + nonsensical in the uk is
because it was originally a french kids show. the guy who
introduced it in the uk bought the rights to screen it - but
he didnt like the stories.. so he wrote his own to (loosely)
fit the images + re-dubbed the whole thing.

That is an interesting piece of information. I always
thought it was so messed up because the crew were smoking
weed or eating mushrooms when making it :)

friend of mine at school had a 7" vinyl called 'swear a
rainbow'..
it was a recording of the kids song 'sing a rainbow' by a
group of guys impersonating the rainbow characters.
instead of colours, they excercised the saxon vernacular.
was very amusing in places.

thankyou for the correction. but it was a french tv show
originally too.. i should know - my mum's french + she grew
up watching it.

jazembo : i seem to recall seeing characters moustaches move
(as though they were speaking) when they werent.. i presume
this is because, in the original french version, they
were..
nothing ever quite seemed to add up in that show.

another one for the list.. who watched trapdoor, narrated by
willie rushton?

Berk was truely amazing.

I'm also jealous of those organ mice. They can make biscuits
out of breadcrumbs and butterbeans, those talented
bastards.

Another show (not Brit) I enjoyed was Ovid video

Trapdoor was a bit shit. Let's be honest.

The flumps rocked. Check that for a theme tune.

when i watched it as a child.
