Ive got sirius and xm. theyre both digital quality radio. xm is mostly commercial free, sirius is 100% commercial free.
theyre both really cool for listening to music, but sometimes you want to hear retarded DJ or stupid commerical. yeah they still Dj's, but theyre nothing like local radiohosts. very bland. both are equally crap right now for electronic music. unless you like trance or euro. or moby.
what else do you wanna know?

The .XM file format is the Fast Tracker II program, it stands for eXtended Module. I have no idea what this XM radio is, it would be awesome if they played XMs!

I agree, I have xm and it is o-k...
I like the hardcore rap stations cuz they can swear, still makes me chuckle everynow and then...
The rock stations are good. But yeah, the "dance" stations are very...dancey. I like good trance/house/garage/regular-dance-music....but most of the stuff on xm is very bland and uneventful stuff.
no idm/experimental-electronica stuff whatsoever.
It can only get better in the next few months/years though...

No its not repetative at all. sometimes you hear the most OBSCURE shit. and then right after, something youre familiar with. i have them in my car, and then if you subscribe you can also stream them in your house off your pc. if you dont have a pc, you can get the xm/sirius player that connects to your stereo. sirius is constantly changing and improving theyre lineup. i like them because they also take subscribers recommendations into consideration. like bitch about there not being an idm station, i guarantee theyll start playing some on chill. actually i should do that.
they play four tet, matmos, clouddead, plaid, massive attack, underworld, metamatics, and some other shit ive never heard of. all on sirius "chill"
but they coldplay and sigur ros. its a very CHILLed out station, havent heard any boc though...

you have to remember the subscribers to both xm and sirius are not that many
so once they build a comunity of listeners i am sure the stations will grow
so xm vs sirius??????????????????????

Sirius. its geared more toward the younger, hipper crowd. its two dolars more a month though. but its well worth it. the comedy station for sirius is almost worth the price alone. a representative told me not to long ago they were going to bring back the "abstract electronic" station back. they used to play stuff like ae, proem, nautilis, a little afx here and there...lots of glitchier stuff. really cool stream, i dont know why they canned it. go listen to it, you can listen for like 15 minutes to almost any music channel from there website, unless you subscribe, then you get full access.
