hi all, it's time for my weekly college radio program! :D

today i'm playing brand new music from Telefon Tel Aviv,
Air, Savath & Savalas, oldies from Aphex Twin, Joy Division,
Can, Neil Young, David Bowie, somewhat rare tracks from The
Notwist, Nine Inch Nails, Gift Of Gab, plus xltronic's own
Ceri JC, Kid Koala, Coil, Bjork, J-Live, etc. the usual
variety of artists and genres.

begins at 4 PM EST (9 PM in the UK), ends 2 hours later

*** streaming audio link here (for Windows Media Player only!) ***

questions or comments on the music i play definitely
welcome

----------------------
what's everyone doing for valentine's day? about 3 tracks
i'm playing today are valentine's day appropriate..

btw ceri that global goon album sounds really good. i'd like
to hear it, at least the clips.

what else... i heard 'squarewindow' finally today and it's
off da meatrack. really looking forward to 'ultravisitor'
now, even more than before. i hope the album isn't all drum
'n' bass, i know someone said there's a spanish acoustic
type song on there.

really glad outkast won album of the year at the shammy's.

mc_303_beatz my friend james really liked "name your
children" and wants to hear more. i gave him your link.

stay tuned next month for some special guest mixes on my
show. john book from john-book.com, okayplayer, and
solesides.com already finished a 2 hour guest mix that
should be really dope (lots of obscure prog rock, funk, rare
groove, soul, hip-hop, i think there's some electronica).
one of my past music professors is making a mix. if people
bug him about it maybe earthleakage will finish his mix and
send it to me in time. i'm trying to get john bush from all
music guide to do one but i'm having trouble contacting him
since i don't know his personal email address.

sorry about before, i think my mic was turned down too low,
i couldn't hear myself in the headphones very well. i hope
everyone's enjoying the music at least. i mean.. joy
division's punk era, new electro pop from air.. kraut rock
coming up next.. lots of electronica to come

Sorry I'm late, those little tykes left the kitchen in a
mess and I had to clear it up before I came home. Tuned in
now though.

LOVED that CAN song.....and i can DEFINATELY hear the
similarity on the BASELINE of the Radiohead.....ehehhehehe

no prob ceri, you've barely missed 7 songs and that doesn't
include yours coming up in a jiffy

that can song is just phenomenal to my ears btw.. i really
hope people were digging it, i just got a phone call about
it from someone who was blown away by it

so did the drums and bass parts of the radiohead song seem
derivative of the can song, "animal waves"? i really think
so.. i'll say a little bit about it on air in a minute

shit, i'm competing with john peel? no wonder the
listenership's declined, i'd listen to peel too if i were in
the UK. although you can listen to peel archived on
bbc.co.uk but there's no archive of my show or anything else
on this radio station (unfortunately).

Komakino don't bitch though i played joy division earlier.

dunno, im so lethargic and lazy. but at least ive been
thinking about it so thats a (very small) step in the right
direction i guess :)

i can assure you if i do get around to it it will be
completely hip-hop free :P

yea i know you're not exactly a hip-hop fanatic

speaking of, i wonder if i lost half or more than half of
the listeners with that jay-z song. fuck it though, i love
that song and i wanted to hear it. nice early 90s style
production from just blaze. very backpacker-ish. the notwist
is up next.
