it seems that all my friends have girlfriends now. just
recently a friend of mine, who is quite a prick, got a girl.
him, that prick, of all people - don't get me wrong, he's my
friend, but he's an asshole. he's also a completely
different person around him. and some of my friends are/are
getting married. i'd like to find someone to hold sometime
in my life, but lately i guess it has been too much to bear.
uugghh. damn these feelings of loneliness. at times like
this i end up killing all my emotions.

sorry for my bitching, but usually posting it here makes me
feel better.

means.

Perhaps he's not faking being a different person around her.
People do behave differently with their partners to how they
do with their friends, there's nothing two-faced about it,
it's perfectly natural.

yeah i used to feel like that too, all my so called friends
all had girlfriends despite the fact that they were
assholes. ( I have since given up on those 'friends' after
realising how much they made me feel shit ). And so i was
pretty down on myself about not having a girlfriend, but
then a beautiful girl came along, and that was 2.5 years
ago.

So i mean, dont worry about it so much, jsut keep being
yourself and sooner or later the right one will come for
you. I know it sounds lame but i believe it.

:)

I met this girl last month and i think she is quite
wonderful. She has so many qualities that i could want in
someone. I am quite fortunate! :)

no no i wasn't trying to insult him. i'm just angry knowing
that he's getting that kind of happiness that makes you
transform - i miss that happiness so much.

staplemouth - thanks for the encouragement.

that's why i will always be at this board - no matter what
inane problem is eating away at my life, someone is here to
tell me i will live another day. :D

Ceri JC is correct, i act differently in different
situations. I dont consider myself two faced or anything.

But there is a limit to that.

Like my old friends used to be so fake, real dicks, but then
pretend they were golden when women were around. For
instance, one used to go to church all the time and act like
the best christian ever because these group of nice girls
were, but he was just a big friekin phony and i used to get
so pissed off when people couldnt see through it.

i know what you mean with the loneliness, man. i've never
really had a girlfriend, kissed, or shared any moment of
intimacy with anyone. i am really pathetic, and have become
a sort of emotional masochist by this point, actually. i
told this girl who i think the world of that i love her, and
always think about her, and now she won't really talk to me
anymore. she was one of the few people that i could relate
to, but i can understand her counteractions.
i guess all i can say is "just hang in there, buddy." ..but
what a fucking cheerfully scornful statement.

i wish i could send everyone who is single, clonopin for
valentines day. hahahah , "happy valentines day everyone,
take these and pass out!"
you should all just get loaded and play video games, and
call up x girl friends. it'll be a blast.
i'm dreading it.

Valentines Day should be abolished... like there should be a
specific day to tell people you love them... loada shit.

i agree - valentine's day seems more like an excuse to get
consumers in a frenzy to me. all because a saint was
murdered on the day - and a massacre occurred. and of
course, we buy chocolate and cards and flowers for our loved
ones in our mourning and celebration of the deaths of these
fine people. just like we hunt eggs to celebrate jesus'
death!

funny how death makes people jubilant. for all we know, a
hundred years from now 9/11 will be called Liberty Day, and
we'll be buying nine-foot tower models to place and our
living room, and have all our kids open presents around it.

"Remember kids, thousands of people died today. Merry 9-11!"

this thread title immediately reminded me of this
soft-pop-rock song from the 90's called "Jealousy", it goes:
"Oooooooo-oh jealousy, ohwohwoh... jealousy... (etc.)" i
thought it was by Jewel, but it wasn't... possibly paula
cole? anyways it sucked... i will now listen to Einsturzende
Neubauten to exorcize this demon....

in other news: Valentine's day is all part of the
foucauldean model which outlines how western capitalist
society channels our revolutionary forces into inane things
like getting married cuz you're supposed to...

I've never been interested in girls, so I don't get jealous
much. I'd be really uncomfortable and bored if I was in the
position I see many guys in. Just not my thing.

as someone in what is now a 3 1/2 year relationship... if i
ever did break up with my girlfriend, i would likely not
bother to seek another relationship for a long time...
instead i would devote myself to creating art... girls are
cool and all... but you really have to find the right one to
make it worth while...

yeah man, i feel ya.

i've been alone most of my life. i guess it's me, i don't
know, i just be myself. i get used to it, but at the same
time, i don't want to get used to it. most of the
time i just look at it like "eh, whatever". if the right
girl comes along, great, if not, then i'll live (mostly).

lonely people unite!

I've recently been getting very "friendly" with this girl
ana.. ok it's been more than friendly, I swear to god we
connect on so many issues and things, more than I even feel
like listing. A couple weeks back we were making out from 4
until 8 in the morning when we finally crashed, and then the
next day we did the same thing... We always have a great
time when we hang out (at least I know I do, and she tells
me she does), and she seems to be really into me, but lately
she hasn't been returning my calls, and I'm wondering if
it's something I did .. I'm thinking of just being like
"Okay, I need to know where we stand" but I don't want to...
scare her off I guess. Fuck, I don't even know what's wrong
with me. I just know that I like her and I wish she would
make her feelings a little less ambiguous. Or at least drop
me a fucking line.

Just saw this thread and had to register and reply (first
post here). I recently broke up with my first ever
girlfriend, we were kinda on a break but completely over
tonight. Nothing bad's happened with us, but feel really
terrible when i see her around, just think, damnit: i lost
that.

ophecks- up until last summer i used to think exactly the
same as you. i didn't see the point, and there wasnt anybody
i really liked. but i just tried it, and it was ****ing
great, one of the best experiences of my life. well worth
it, whatever time and effort you put in and when it ends,
still worth it.

But its ok - she didn't like afx anyway :D now to find a
girl who does!! (harder than it sounds...)
