Nobody ever though King Crimson was uncool, at least, they're namedropped left and right and front and center.
Haha, Tales from Topographic Oceans got a 2.2! It's my favorite Yes album, because it sucks more than the rest of them.

Yup - I'm gonna get some of the Rhino re-releases. Nothing like a hot summer night with Yes playing, an iced tea and some nightbirds calling. All I have by them is the Yes Classics greatest hits package.

King Crimson has Robert Fripp, who is Brian Eno-level cool and original - as a matter of fact they've collaborated.
One of my favorite Fripp collabs is I Advance Masked with Andy Summers - whacked out but listenable ambient guitar experiments with some very scary bits.
