speaking of which, do you have a big pile of "unreleased" tunes you've made at your home?
Somewhat related to gambling, John Carmack of doom fame was able to count cards well enough to win something like 10,000 bucks in blackjack. He was rich already and did it just for fun before getting kicked out of the casino and he donated it to some organization dedicated to the free software movement or something.

hmm... I guess if I succeed, I get money and if I get caught I go to jail where rent is free (and food I'm pretty sure).
I had a question about those record player deelies you use, turn tables I suppose they're called. What do those do and how much is using them part of crunch's music? Do you just move them and it plays the sound on the record at the speed (and pitch) you move it at? And you can move it backwards too for reverse sounds?

This computer is a binary nightmare, so I'll see if it can play those videos tomorrow, but I have seen a brief one of tipper on the colony site I think. That could be a very useful tool for generating all kinds of sounds. One interesting thing to do would be to do the same exact movements on two different records simultaneously, then since the warped parts will match up, you can fade one sound to the other.
Meh, I'm making a track I like better than average right now and I'll post it here within a week. I still am only using modplug tracker and I got sick of it for awhile. I've been playing doom2's plutonia experiment instead mostly and street fighter 2 on genesis. (I beat it on the hardest difficulty with ken without dying once and am now trying it with guile)
