i love his music and if someone could name some similar
artists that'd be great :)

i was watching 25th hour couple of days ago and there was
this club scene were some dj was playing something quite
similar to grandmaster's music but with more "fresh"
sounding beats...any idea what could that be?

Let me think on this for a mo.

Mmm what about Captain Rock he is very funky? And there is
Whodini too. I bought my sis a record a while back with
really old hip hop cuts going back to like '79 and 80 etc,
that was a seriously wicked experience listening to that
stuff. Pretty cool thinking that people were cutting it up
in the Bronx back then.

thanks, i'll check those out...

btw, i found an awesome remix of "white lines" by dmc...the
vocal part was changed but pretty much everything else was,
it's very funky much alike the original, the beats are a bit
different tho...

grandmaster - oldstyle stuff as well, i'll right about it

some great stuff on this compilation cd. can't
believe its over 20quid on amazon. i found it in a bargain
bin at a motorway service station (oxford i think) for a
fiver.
cheered up a long journey.
