Thanks, that made sense. But what about the very last scene where everything is weird and fucked up after the guy sees crazy colors for about 10 realtime minutes? He's in the room with the bed and the guy at the table and all the weird shit is going on. What the hell is that? That's the part that really fucked me up. |

that movie was literally on crack even watching it after toking was not enjoyable... i disregard that as a kubrick flick... it is no Full Metal Jacket or Clockwork Orange, or his best work of all - Paths of Glory |

Yeah I remember the word Overture or something came up, and weird music was playing, and must've went like that for 5 or 10 minutes or so... strange stuff... |

How could you not think 2001 is great? My personal favorite film of all time. There are few other films as rich with symbolism. You can write on that film forever. I already have 3 papers written on it. Its so good, Kubrick's best. |
