Car stereo fun

I like my car cd player, and i like to belt out music from
it.

recently (past week or so) i have been giving it hell with
merzbow's tauromachine, and i love to go to places where i
know there will be many of those poofs with their techno or
rap/hip hop/crap music on and just blasting them with
noise.

The most fun is the looks i get wich basically say 'what the
fuck is that, and could it work for me?'

yeah hahahaha bitches!!!!!!!

i cannot emphasise enough the look on people's faces,
especially if it's at a really squealy part of a track, then
there just like 'holy shit, that guy's a fucking psycho'

whooooooooo

I don't like to draw attention to myself, being such a
shrinking violet, but that does sound awesome. You're
changing their lives... they'll try to be artsy after this,
feeling inferior to you.

ha, no see i need the people to be outside in the street cos
my stereo is so weak, and only half installed, with part of
that already blown out from loud snares music, but i'll give
it a go if it's not too far outta my way. what time will you
be home then?

i'll be outside at around 3:00, across the road from "hungry
spot", do you know where that is?

outside :)

once i drove this lawyer and there was drukqs playing (on a
very low volume)...we were talking about some matter and
suddenly he looks at stereo and asks "what does that mean?",
i was like what does what mean?...and he replys "this music
, what does this music mean?"

If I heard someone with merzbow or whatever "playing" out of
their stereo I would probably just be wondering why the
fucker hadn't bothered tuning their radio in.

I don't think it's a smart idea to do that. They probably
can't hear it very clearly; it always sounds shit from the
outside.

hahaha, yes, im sure knobcheese is concerned how clearly it
sounds from the outside :)
those people are probably not merzbow experts so i doubt
they'd notice the difference :)

Myself and a couple of friends did this using some choice
Ryoji Ikeda tracks and Merzbow

I remember blasting Snares' ATP set once when it was quite
crowded downtown.. that too porbably sounded terrible since
the car stereo is shit, but it was worth to see the scared
kids passing the car.

yeah i actually listened to it from the outside, i had it
turned down a bit, it mainly sounded like static, but good
tho!

i beleive you should listen to merzbow many times through
different forms of media, and at different volumes. it
always sounds completely different, and you hear different
stuff.

but anyway i made a pass just before 3, and a little after
qtr past 3, must have missed you cos i didn't see anyone.

ohhh, i went and actually bought tauromachine today
(previously using ripped one) and the guy at the shop goes,
'so, you gonna go see merzbow?' and i'm like 'what???'
'when???' and he says tuesday night, and i'm like holy shit
i didn't know!!!.

maaaaaaan, too late now and i gotta work tuesday night too,
boooooo!

The nearest I've done to that was driving up to giginger's
house, I got stuck in a really slow traffic jam and had the
windows wound down so I could talk to people in other cars.
I had Ae's grbgemx playing not too loud, but these little
kids in a car alongside shouted to turn it up. I did and
they thought it was wicked and wanted to know what it was so
I told them.

i'm gonna have to go down there again some time and fling
cd's out my window as i drive by (something i've been
thinking of for a while, but never could be arsed to do).

i'm still somewhat a major newbie when it comes to autechre,
what would be a good release for blastin out the car, and
which one is that where about half the cover is the ae
symbol and there's no other info on it?

saw it in the shop on vinyl.

Dunno why, normally Autechre makes people vomit, doesn't it?
Well it does for me.

When I'm out on my own in the car, I'll play music 'very'
loud on the CD player in my car, but when I slow down in
traffic jams, or whatever, I don't like it playing loud, so
I'll turn it down.

In a similar incident I burnt a CD of latin jazz from the
Vice City station 'Espantoso', and I blasted it from my
brothers car stereo as we raced around the city at night. It
was exquisite.

I burnt a CD with a few 80s Vice City tracks on it the other
day....what a coincidence! I was blasting them quite loud
also!
