I just recieved 2 enormous, awesome great japanese books :

Hagakure
Bushido

Its real pleasure to read them after centuries of their
existence. First sentences are already becoming so spiritual
that when i read it i can feel old, japanese spirit of
samurai.

If anyone is interested i can translate
( ha ! ) some best parts of them.

nah. sorry. confused it with the other book in ghost dog.
kurosawa mada Rashomon. hagakure is the samurai code, is it
not? rashomon is the book witht the three stories!

Hagakure is a set of thoughts about samurais way , writen by
Yamamoto Tsunetomo.
Bushido is a codecs of a samurai, never writen completely
coz its core is set of thoughts, experiences and laws - of
course some parts were written, but there was never complete
book called "bushido". and if there was - it was fake.

im not sure about rashomon, tho

rashomon is a story. can't remember exactly, but someone has
been killed, and three people explain themselves before the
court. all three tell different stories, and the court has a
hard time finding out what exactly happened.

if you want philosophical literature, i recommend you the
art of war - Sun Zu (although chinese, not japanese), The
way - Tao (you can get lots of different versions of this),
bruce lee: jeet kune do (the way of the intercepting fist).
