Metroid: Zero Mission

If you hit a ramp when you're shinesparking and you tap down
immediately, it will save your charge. So, if you find a
place that you need speed to get through and there clearly
isn't enough room to run anyway, there's most likely a room
nearby that will let you run.

If you look for walkthroughs, you can find a couple videos
of this in action. The one inside the chozo ruins is
extremely difficult and I can't even remember how many tries
it took me to save my spark something like 6 times in a row.
Fuck. But it was worth it when I finally got it right :)

bomb jump.

You can do damn near infinite bomb jumps in this game and I
actually used them to get to a few other sneaky ledges
before I was supposed to :>

Also, being able to wall jump up a single wall is a pretty
handy skill.

I'll give the bomb-jumping a try. Will it really work? If so
they must have changed the physics of the bomb-jump for Zero
Mission. Because I know for sure that in all the other
Metroids it wasn't possible to get very high with that
technique.

I'd be happy if I could just make proper walljumps between 2
walls ;-) It's so hard! I can't imagine myself getting far
trying it on just one wall.

you can get kind of high doing bomb jumps but you have to
get the timing down like a mofo

if anyone can help me

i think it's in the L1 area, where you have to get back to
the navigation room but one of the doors is destroyed and
you have to get there by making your own path

anyways, theres this room where all the walls are blue and
there's an area with these two red flat things jumping
around

anyways once i get in there there's no way to get back out,
neither from where i came in or the other direction. i'm
guessing you need to maybe freeze these things and then jump
off of them but i don't have the ice beam yet

I presume you're taling about Metroid Fusion now. It's been
too long since I played that to remember too many details
like specific rooms. Sorry.

But whenever I was stuck in Metroid Fusion, 99.99% of the
time the solution consisted of using a bomb to find a secret
passageway in either the floor, the walls or the ceiling.

"you had to bomb a spot"

I knew it :-p

It doesn't bother me just yet, but for the next 2D episode
they really should try to also come up with some new puzzles
where the anwser doesn't involve bombs.
