theyre only human.

i won't hear a word said against them.. i happen to know
some people that work for warpmart.

though i do agree that you can pick up some releases cheaper
elsewhere.
you don't get any of the nice promotional material if you
don't order from warp though. and if you happen to place an
order when theyre having a clearout, they send you free
stuff.
i bought a t-shirt a year+a half ago + copies of 'music is
rotted one note' '10+3 warp remixes part 2' 'drukqs part2' +
broadcast's 'echoes answer' turned up in the envelope. i
already had drukqs + was thinking about getting m-i-r-o-n
..but no need now eh?

Yep. they're tards. on three different occasions i have
ordered multiple quantities of a perticular record, and
theyll charge me for 2 but only send one. then i have to
play email tag with them, til they finally send out
another.
and i'm not lying about not getting them either. its like
theyre hoping i wont notice i didnt get two.

offline magicant from Canada on 2004-02-03 22:18 [#01059522]

i sent it back - they emailed me and said they'd send me
"free promo stuff" in return for the cost and effort i put
in sending it back.

better be Warp:Routine or something

Don't send things back. Send them an email and explain. Then
they'll send you some extra stuff. I've ordered 20-30 times,
and only once did they screw up. Then they told me to keep
what I got, and sent me what I ordered for free.

a while back i ordered onclements album by ovuca and they
sent me lactavent which i already had - i mailed them and
they said they're going to send me onclemetns when i return
lactavent...
it costed me quite a bit more, since i had to pay for
postage to send them back...
but i mostly had good experiences with them.

@ acrid milk hall

sorry but that what you posted on the beginning can only be
a lie.....how and whatever you order....you'll never get 4
CD's for free ordering a T-Shirt man....

Probably a guy you know whos working there made that for
you....or ??

Im still waiting for a t-shirt I ordered. They sent the rest
of my order last week but the t-shirt was nowhere to be
found. I havent e-mailed them yet either.
They are usually very good though and theyre always my first
choice to get music online. Even though they never give me
free stuff (I can believe thats a complaint)

there prices are not high when you compare it to places like

let me clarify.

i DO know someone who works @ warpmart.
but i didnt when i made that order.

i did get all 4 cds with the t shirt..
but they they were discs that they must have been listening
to in the office as they had no sleeves + were just loose in
there.

so no, its not a lie.

is that ok with you?

besides, as bob rightly pointed out - no one's entitled to
free stuff.

they are a big company now, and have been for some time, if
they cant get orders right, or on time then something is
wrong, they suck.

But their profit is of course higher when they sell things
in their own mart. I don't expect any free stuff, but I
think they should keep up with the "limited period discount
stuff". If they are cheaper than my local record store, I
will use the Mart.

as the not-so-mighty USD decreases in value its harder and
harder to make international orders that are price-worthy

it would seem that warp, being the label, would be cheaper,
yet sometimes i can find the same records for 14.99 USD here
in shops, that warp seles for 14.99 BP - they treat me well,
prompt and all that - but there is little inspiration due to
the jack up in price

it would seem the label would be the cheapest place to order
from, well from my other experience its the cheaper option

strange

11 gbp is 20.26 usd right now. I can get imported warp cds
at a local store for 17 u.s.d (and then I have to pay tax,
instead of the higher shipping cost from warpmart). Or I can
order from alldirect and get warp cds for 12 u.s.d. (not
incl shipping, which you can get for free if you order more
than 100 usd)

The choice between warpmart (and other stores in the u.k.)
and anything else really isn't hard at all
