heard this a few years ago. one of the mini-cds.. it was shit. just handful of afx tracks filtered through distortion with cheap-looking artwork.
how did this happen?

I quite liked it. I like the bootleg of 'Dirty Cash' and 'Quoth'. On face value I thought it was shit but then I started to appreciate the humour and actually found it quite funny.

i made a v/vm-worthy remix with a microphone, a wooden table, and "4" playing on my stereo.

I like V/VM. I'm not that into their music but I love their philosophy.
People listen to their stuff expecting music. Just remember, it's noise. And I agree with Promo that it's very funny. Almost the entire of Fan-Dabi-Dozi is hillarious. You just can't help smiling.

nothing on the 'help aphex twin ' (dont know which volume any more) mini-cd i listened to was anywhere near as good to listen to as the original version.
not much had been done with the tracks.. other than up the gain so they distorted a bit.
not really an inspired re-working of the aphextwin tracks. perhaps some of the others in the series are better.
