saw a link to this item on aint-it-cool?
thought some of you might be interested.

upon reading myself, i must assume that aranofsky is no
longer doing year one.

this seems to be only a mild disappointment, since this
script sounds genuinely AMAZING.
i'm hoping once this thing is released, i can declare it the
"best comic book film" made so far.

the limo scene where batman is finally revealed to the
camera sounds INTENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the only drawback ive read so far is no lazarus pit for al
ghul, but thats ok... it just wouldve been nice eye-candy.

Looks pretty good. I was interested in an origin movie
seeing as though the first Batman didnt tell that story.
I dont really care about continuity but wasnt it supposed to
be the Joker who killed Bruce Wayne's parents - the script
seems to have someone else. Never mind as long as its good.

in the comics originally, it was never even remotely
suggested that batman's parents were killed by joker, the
burton movie only did that to tie the whole "who made who?"
argument together.

I like the old (late 80s) DC comics of Batman. I'd really
like to see them to an old (Oliver Green- not his son) Green
Arrow too. Green Arrow is one of the best (not to mention
most realistic) comic book characters in the DC world.

yeah, there was a thing about comics and the history of them
about 6 months back, and they talked about all the
controversial stuff that went on in green arrow in the
60's-80's. crazy stuff no other books were willing to deal
with: racial tensions, heroin addiction, child molestation,
etc...

The comic is still going strong, Jim Lee's comic artwork is
great.

But the movies... ugh. The last two looked like fancy disco
videos. All flashing lights and nippled chest protectors...
Clooney's chiseled chin couldn't save it. The first one blew
my mind when I saw it... granted, I was really young at the
time... but I still think it's a classic. I hope the series
regains its form, looking promising.

Haha, I remember seeing a Green Arrow ad a LONG time ago in
a comic I had, late '80s... there were two pictures. In one,
he was laying in bed with a chick. In the other, some guy
was covered in blood. Harcore.

phecks: yeh, green arrow IS hardcore.

i can't imagine how this movie will disappoint... it seems
to me they are trying to make a film where batman is a
character which actually develops and is given birth to
through the first act or 2 of the script.

yay! we get a near-insane batman, the way he's supposed to
be. he's not a good guy, he's the bad guy's bad guy.

Only stupid people or people actually involved in the movie
read the script first.

or people who want to know if something is gonna be lame or
great.

plus, who's read the actual script?
it's a script review that stops right when batman first
shows up.

hardly a spoiler, imo
