New Sanguine Track - glitch hop

So this is an experiment with adding some microhouse
elements to hip hop. It's a bit repetitive right now since I
haven't put in the transitions I want. So expect that.

Some DJ Shadow, Prefuse, and Akufen influences... tell me
what you think!

so far this track sounds promising, i'm not sure what it is
meant to be about but it sounds slightly menacing to me.
I'LL look forward to the finished version when you put the
transitions in!

Menacing is good... I need someone to MC over this so I can
glitch up some vocals a bit and spread out what's going on
in the track... any takers?

From what I hear its pretty good so far. Yes I could
certainly envisage some cool transitions or interludes which
would work nicely with this track. You got some cool samples
going on in this track. Yes be keen to hear the final
version definitely.

Actually you know what this reminds me of is Gescom -
Keynell - something about the pacing of the vocal samples
and the shambling menacing atmosphere.

Huh... wasn't getting a gescom vibe... interesting.

Working on something new, but this is on my remix list as
soon as I find somebody suitable to MC over it

Hey Sanguine, did you put kaddath up the other day?

i guess the piano makes it sound a little pianoey to me, but
i think gescom employs lots of minimalism and typically
sounds pretty dry.

and what i should be posting in this topic: i like this
track, especially the vocal breakdown that comes in in the
last part.

Uploading Kadath (and took down revolver remix for now)...
will be here

On the gescom thing... I'm trying to decide if the track is
a little too complicated, especially with the drum parts and
when the pads come in (french horns/violins)

Any suggestions?

alot of gescom tracks have emphasis on the bass/kick drum or
whatever drum it is they're using for producing the deepest,
boomiest sound. i think about heartbeats alot and kick drums
being hit 2 or 3 times in succession. that's how i feel
about gescom rhythm, so i dont know if you're trying to
steer away or towards that.

THANKYOU VERY MUCH Snaguine! I have downloaded it all now
so you may take it down when you please, but i highly
recommend to the rest of you, if you havn't already done so,
to get this track (kadath) now while you can!!! I promise
that you will not be dissapointed.

btw Sanguine, are the vocals from Minority Report?

Interesting... checking out some Gescom tracks, trying to
see how they are similar, definitly have some close
elements

It's always weird hearing my tracks are like someone else's
that I wasn't intending to be like

ok Sanguine now i have the full file, see how worked up
you've got me over this track of yours :) A strange thing
just happened while i was playing it though, winamp says it
is 6.50 in length however i just looked when i played it for
the first time and the timer was into 8 mins something, the
next time i played it however it stopped at 6.50?!?!?

You're telling me - my serpent track was inspired by Twerk
with all the glitchy little bits but then it seemed to be
morphing into Amber-era autechre sorta with the string
patch...

Its a big bitch of a track! I quite like it, its deep. Quite
long and quite full on though. I'm not quite feeling it at
the mo but I know when I'm in the mood it'll be my cup of
tea. Its got an old skool feel to it, reminds me a bit of
Biosphere, Aphex and Seefeel combined. Yes each time you
post fresh material up I get quite excited. I think I prefer
the vibe of Guiding Moons to Kadath but I think Kadath is a
quality production nevertheless. Perhaps a little more
variation or something on this track but I ain't too fussed?

Yes this is good Sanguine - even though I'm not 100% feeling
it at the mo.
