A cold, dark, wet, blustery winter's evening outside, I'm alone in the house. Is there a more perfect soundtrack than Selected Ambient Works Volume II? If there is, I'd like to hear it!
Ah, it's at times like these I'm so glad he released this album.

Yes, indeed. I don't think any of his other albums come near, and I've very few other albums that have such a unique and convincing atmosphere and mood.

The best experience i've ever had was at a relative's house in rural upstate new york, in the dead of winter. It was late at night, and I was sleeping downstairs and had my discman with me, so I popped in SAWII with my headphones on and just walked around the pitch dark house, looking out the windows at the snow falling outside.

Wow. I'd love to do something like that. I wanted to go out for a walk, only it was far too windy. Maybe tomorrow evening.

SAW 2 (on discman) was great during a 2 hour total power outage at night here.
It's very blustery in my town too. Jedi Chris and myself went down to the beach earlier this evening to see it storming. Big waves and the sand and pebbles were all churned up (normally they are seperate).
