i've just been listening to 'kids fill the floor' and i've got to say its very nice indeed. i don't know much about these guys (i'm always the last to know :) ). anyone know where their website is, if they have one? i can't find much info on them.
reminds me a lot of boards of canada & casino vs japan. great stuff.

i've been meaning to check out 'kids fill the floor.' the only freescha album i have is 'slower than church music' and the comparisons to boc and casino vs japan are spot on.
i haven't come across much info about them either.

''What's Come Inside You'' was the best album of 2003 in my humbling opinion. They're like SO damn awesome.

not sure about casino vs. japan tho - i might have something theirs, but i'll check anyway.
and yes, shame about the site...there's some info on pitchforkmedia tho

nothing at all! i love his new album, full of different styles. tolstoyed was expecting a whole load more of the same 4/4 i think.

there's Massive Records which is a vinyl specialist... dunno if they're on the net. they've got some good stuff but seem to have an awful lot of commercial house

i like 1/2 of DC's new album. the wiggle is spoiled though by the repetitive "the wiggle" sample! sounds way too cheesy
overall i prefer archive one

yeah ive been in there, its not bad. i like that second hand shop with all those albums 3 for £10 and that huge selection of old electronic singles/albums from the past 15 years downstairs. thats a goldmine. been meaning to go back there for ages. never seem to have the time when im down there though. i should really make the effort next time.

i know the place you mean! it's a maze to even get downstairs.
as i've got older i can't seem to face sifting through stacks of old records :(

i don't like boc, yet i do like freescha, maybe 'cause it's more melancholic, and their tracks don't sound so much alike as boc's do
imo

i think you're right about their tracks not sounding as much alike. thats what makes boc boc i suppose - they have a distinct sound that theyve made their own.

i can't agree boc-tracks do sound alike... Music grows on you. The first time i heard "slower than church music" i was bored. After a few times, it did get better and more interesting. boc sounded interesting from the start. It's just what you're up to. they can't surpass boc. just can't.
