Lee told me i should write something emotional - as luck would have, i had just done so. this was mainly inspired by a film soundtrack (Monsters Inc. strangely, near the end, when he says goodbye to Boo) and this track became strangely emotional for me. Criticism welcomed.

I quite liked it :P
Parts of it still sounded a little bit sterile and I think the melody could have done with a little variation. It was quite good though.

parts of the melody are silent night, the christmas carol. but i like xmas carols, so that's a big plus for me. this is a great track as usual - you're definitely improving and this stuff continually just sounds more and more amazing. i especially love the change at around 3:33 and i suggest perhaps adding some subtle drone or synth sounds throughout the track to make it feel warmer and fuller. it doesn't need to be any more melodic overall and i think the track is mixed very well. i would definitely add some synths playing the main chords or whatever in the background. just some suggestions. thanks for sharing the music!

i think this would sound better if it was a straight-up christmas melody, and if you dropped it from the track at points.

Yeah, I noticed the Christmas thing as well, but it didn't bother me that much. Not a bad track indeed. Probably wouldn't hurt to add some sort of low end. You are an interesting beatsmith. How come all the tracks I have from you are in mono, though?

for your information, i didn't take that melody from a christmas song - it just popped into my head one night. however, now that you mention....
i doesn't sound like a rip-off, does it? because i never intended it to be that way at all...

well, i wasn't calling it a rip-off or accusing you of anything of course. there's just a few notes of the melody that closely resemble silent night, but the whole melody is different.
accidentally using a pre-existing melody is very common. it happens to everyone, really. i've done it myself. i don't think it's a big deal at all.

sorry, i didn't like it. It sounded like a casio demo, and the melody had about as much emotion as a microwave oven.

the melody was too close to silent night for me. the beat programing is lush as always but i just didn't care for that melody.

That silent night coincidence is spooky if you didn't intentionally put it there.
The Samurai track is pure class, blasting it while watching the african cup on the tv. Just checking digitonal now.

Yeah the "silent night" is kinda distracting.
I also like the Samurai track.
