actually, the part i'm stuck on is when they say, "you will need to change the DNS information (name servers) with your Domain Registrar." what does this mean?

this is kind of a pain in the ass.
you already bought your domain name right?
i.e. pxoxoxoxpxy.com?
go to the website of whoever you registered that name with and login, or read the instructions on how to change your DNS servers to your new webhosts dns servers

as I remember it, it's an even bigger pain in the ass than Xanatos says.
just put a gun to your head, it's over

damnit. the thing is, Xanatos, that they don't have any instructions for me on how to "change your DNS servers." what does that mean, btw?

the DNS (domain name servers) entries tell the internet where your website is.

who did you buy your domain name from?
they should have a user login area.
log into that.
look around for DNS settings.
put in the DNS address that your hosting company gave you.
wait two days.
