SOULSEEK IS BEING STUPID.

EVERY TIME I WANT TO DOWNLOAD I GET LOCALLY QUEUED SHIT.

HOW DO I FIX IT.

Change the number of maximum downloads and make sure you
don't already have that file on your computer.

its a p2p filesharing program, like kazaa only better or
worse depending on circumstances.

depends on what you're looking for.. there's certain stuff
that I can't find on soulseek, and then theres the problem
of remote queues... I can actually get a download maybe 1
out of 20 tries, even when it says they aren't queued, by
the time I doubleclick the dude already has a line 20 people
deep.. it's just too much work most of the time.

KaZaA is really shitty now. I can't even get above like
1.5k/s with 32 people on the same download, even though I've
got a T1.

well, I use kazaalite, so maybe that makes a difference, but
I usually download at 20-30kb/sec.

T1? I thought you said you were on a 56k?

If i had to only pick 1 of those apps it would easily be
soulseek for me its like what would I rather do? download
one song on a program riddled with bugs and viruses, or
would I rather get whole albums.

but you see that's exactly the opposite of how it is for
me.. I get one song on soulseek and entire albums off kazaa.
Kazaalite k++ is spyware free, and I can always connect to
it whereas slsk is down a lot more often.

I'd swear that just a few days ago you said "Thank god for
56k" referring to some picture or something... I dunno...

damnit, it seems the gods of slsk just don't like me then..
because even though I let them queue and just let em go, 3
days later none of them have even made any progress... it
just never seems to work out for me.
