Yes. I'm either going mental here, or someone just pulled a
joke on me.

Here's the story:
Today i recieved some cd's i ordered from boomkat. Nothing
spectacular. So i decide to rip them first (lossless, i hate
it when cd's break and im left with a crappy mp3)

Anyway, the first cd goes ok.. but then i insert polygon
window things start to go apeshitz. It sez 'Data track, 60
minutes bla bla', so im like what the fuck.. i open the cd..
AND ITS A FUCKING GAME ABOUT SEA ANIMALS!!! some educative
crap for little kids...

Photographic evidence.

now is it just me, or is someone screwing with me?

ps. .. or might it be some kind of copy protection? i tried
it in 2 cd drives and 2 cd players and they all act like its
a data track.

i laughed so hard when i realized i was screwed

the codes on the back side of the cd (near the hole) are
different from normal warp cds from that period too...

but it is playable on cd-players, isn't it? otherwise you
should go to a shop to buy it, but before you buy pre-listen
to it :-)

oh, and keep this copy, sounds funny :-)

braindance: yeah.. looks perfectly legit to me .. the only
different thing is that the disc does not have WARPCD7 on
the back but some gibberish bla bla

blowfield: it wont play in any of the 6 cd audio reading
devices i've got :S

Well i can tell you that that polygon window cd, looks
exactly like my copy...

I guess its something about, when you mass produce cds or
something, errors occur.

I remember a case once, where some porn was accidently
transmitted to tapes that where supposed to be "bananas in
pyjamas". I can just imagine the father in the family going
"err, no, we wont return it because... like.. umm. You
know"... haha.

My copy of "Surfing on Sine Waves" looks like that too.
That's probably the most bizarre thing I've heard in a
while.
