pantalaimon:: SH1 is my favourite soundtrack, its fuckin
harsh, scary and very well done.

SH2 was fucking brilliant man, the soundtrack was killer!
SH3 was awsome too, just a great overall soundtrack.

Ophecks is saying what ive been saying, it wouldnt be the
same with other artists doing the soundtrack for anything
Silent Hill related.

Not a bit. I wish. Listed for 2006 at imdb, but who knows. I
think it's interesting that it mentions James Sunderland. I
can imagine a great fucking movie made out of that story, if
done right.

Storyline revealed

Producer Don Carmody has revealed the storyline of the
upcoming movie based on Konami's psychological horror video
game Silent Hill on his official website. Here is how the
story is described:

A woman desperate to save her dying child finds herself
trapped in an alternate reality as she searches for her
daughter in a dangerous world of demons.
Rose cannot accept the knowledge that her daughter Sharon is
dying of a fatal disease. Over the protests of her husband,
she flees with her child, intending to take the girl to a
faith healer. On the way, she ends up driving through a
portal in reality, which takes her to the eerie and deserted
town of Silent Hill.
Sharon disappears in Silent Hill, and Rose follows what she
thinks is her daughter's silhouette all over town. It's soon
clear the town is not like any place she's ever been. It's
inhabited by a variety of creatures and a living darkness
that descends and literally transforms everything it
touches. The human inhabitants—the ones who are left—are
trapped and fighting a losing battle against the Darkness.
Joined by a cop named Cybil, who has been sent to bring her
and Sharon back, Rose searches for her little girl while
learning the history of Silent Hill and that Sharon is just
a pawn in a larger game.

SPOILERS BELOW HERE FUCKDAMMIT

To save her daughter, Sharon makes a deal with a demon in
the form of a little girl, and allows the forces of darkness
to take the town and destroy those who tried to destroy the
demon. In the end, she saves her daughter but at a high
price.

The film will be directed by Christophe Gans (Brotherhood of
the Wolf) from a script by Roger Avary.

I tried playing Silent Hill 2 a month back.

I had to stop playing because of near fatal boredom. but the
thing that really pushed me over the edge was the godawful
voice acting. normally I'm not that prissy about voice
acting, I expect some cheesiness, but this was just
mindnumbingly bad.

Have you played the first Resident Evil, on PSone? The voice
acting is probably the worst I have ever heard, but the game
wouldn't be the same without it (it's one of my favourites
ever).

The new KOTOR game's voice acting also sucks, but not in a
good way, it's just... rubbish.

I haven't played that one.

have you heard the opening monologue in SH2? it is not only
slow, it is delivered with an unhuman timing, which would be
fine, if this guy wasn't supposed to be a human. I could
feel my face melt while this prattle went on it's dull and
unending way.

It's good so far. I'm probably being picky about the voice
acting.

Evanescence? that is by far the dumbest goddamn thing i've
ever heard. Yamaoka is the first sensible choice, after
that Coil isn't such a bad idea.
Evanescence, what the fuck?
