I downloaded this software that plays frequencies via
headphones, and claims to replicate lsd trips and can help
you relax etc, does anyone believe this or is it a load of
shite?

i don't think the lsd trips would work

but i know there's certain frequencies which help you
acheive deeper sleep and more r.e.m.

I think you need some special (I mean expensive) headphones
to play thoose frequences, as they are very low.
I dunno how low, but I am sure most headphones/speakers
won't be able to play them.

if the sounds can replicate those frequencies experienced
during a trip, would the mind not perceive itself to be
having a dose of lsd?

i don't think so, i mean the trip isn't because of those
frequencies it's cause of the acid

i dunno maybe i don't know shit about what happens to your
brain on acid

i'd be careful if i were you mate, didn't you see that
episode of the X-Files where the government where
experimenting with low frequency waves and peoples heads
started exploding when the resonant frequency of the skull
was 'heard'.

No this is brainwave MODULATION, which is different to
producing very low tones, around 10Hz(ish), instead, you pan
a signal from left to right at the ~10Hz rate. This is why
headphones have to be worn, or the effect will not work as
the sounds diffuse around the room, and the panning effect
is lost.

It doesn't make you fall asleep or go hyper, unless you
really want it to, i.e. it doesn't control behaviour, merely
accentuates it (maybe).

Brain waves are ~ 7-10Hz.

Same goes for the resonate freq of the heart, bowels,
intestines, etc.

The "brown note" is a waveform that traverses through the
body's tissue and resonates within the inner walls of the
intestines or bowels.

The extremely low pressure from these 7-10Hz waves, then
again by the magnitude of the function, can easily through
your body parts off course and they can fail.

Thus, a 10Hz note played loud enough (130+dBs?) can easily
make you lose control of your blatter and puke your brains
out.

I could go on....

Yes, I was into this a couple of years ago. "Proof" of
effectiveness seems inconclusive at best. I did find a
"sleep" program I made helped me feel tired when I was hyped
from adrenaline. I reckon it could just be the comparative
repetition of the sound- a bit like some people have a fan
on or a tv tuned to static to help them sleep.

The original version of CoolEdit had a great BW sync
option...(with very extensive notes in the help-file...)...

Can't say I've ever tried it out seriously (life's weird
enough already...)...

I have very much wanted to experiment with this but i dont
want to shit myself doing so. Although i have done a little
bit. It could have been more extensive

Purring in cats help to fascilitate muscle regeneration.

Vibrations also have the effect of untangling long
molecules, such as protein strands, etc. so that they can be
more readily used.

reasonable responses from you rabble is more difficult than
i thought! now, who among you..."

*emoticon says "i smile"*

resonate freq of the skull is ~ 400hz

you can do it easily .... it gives you quite a headache

;)
