Someone burned me one of his albums but I only played it once. Sounded a bit dated but it was good as I remember. I'll have to revisit it. |

I've heard people insist that his album Timewind is the greatest ambient album ever. I guess I could have at least spelt his name right "Klaus Schulze". |

it's konda logical that it sounds dated. he is one of the pioneers of synth music in the seventies. I've listened to him, but it is not really my thing. |

i love the guy, really old but really good. Pioneer and clasic at the same time. i recomend "Dune", great work !!! |

Timewind is a great album, my fave by him, but the greatest ambient album of all time? No, I don't think so... He used to play drums for Tangerine Dream, a band with a lot of great records as well. I would recommend Poland by them as well as the early records on Virgin. As with all these old electronic Krautrockers they do have a VAST volume of really cheezy crap beside their classic great stuff. Also check out the original release of Edgard Froese's (another original Tangerine Dream member) "Epsilon in Malaysian Pale". It's a wonderfull 70's ambient album. But stay away from the edited remaster from a few years back, which is said to be awful, with added vocals and shit. |
