chest.

song that ever needs to be heard

the reason you listen to them while your drunk is if you
listened to them when youre sober you'd throw your hi-fi out
the window

fiesta is bearable though and my brothers g/f is "proper"
irish so if you say anything bad about them i'll have you
killed

actually i've never listened to them while i'm drunk

i'm just saying singing their songs while drunk seems like
the right thing to do

waltzing matilda? is that a cover of a song by Tom Waits
called Tom Traubert Blues (Four Sheets to the Wind in
Copenhagen). The chorus goes something to the effect of,
"Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda, Let's Go Waltzing
Matilda with Me."

i would love to hear a Pogues version of that song.

no, its "the band played waltzing matilda"..
first person narrative of an australian drafted into the
army in WWI.. loses his legs fighting the turks in
galipolee.
the chorus borrows from 'waltzing matilda' (as the tradgedy
of the story is the protagonist used to love dancing) + at
the end it turns into a proper redition of 'matilda'..
darkly funny + quite poignant.

All I have by the Pogues is "If I should fall from grace
with god" and it fucking owns me. Great album.
