do they already exist? So, One machine which plays it all,
from regular cd to DVD's, and the ability to record as well
on it, and a tuner, amplifier built-in.

do you want to have ONE machine for all this, or prefer
seperate machines, one for cd, one for dvd, one to record,
....??

please show me pics!

I dunno I know they exist I saw one on the shelves at a
store almost a month ago now.. what im interested in (but
not really at all at the same time) is those new panasonic
DVD recorders that can record like old VHS and even right
off the tv in real time..... I think, but I know they can do
right off the TV no problem, right into DVD... man... fuck
copyright up the ass eh

they can all do that, right? television from coax cables are
analogue signals which can be recorded realtime, i think.

or, you mean you can wind and rewind cd's just like tapes.
with counters and all, that would be great yes....

I saw a philips receiver-dvdrecorder last week, was pretty
new, it costs only 1099 euros. phew!

ok.

maybe a registered person can do it... the machine is a PS2,
bascially, but it can play and record dvd/dvd-rw as well as
play ps2 and 1 games.. and it comes with a built-in hd. It
looks just like a hi-fi device.. it doesn't have a tuner,
though

the ps2 dvd player sucks bigtime.... it quality is beyond
average. What about that dvd recorder type then....

this is a new thing. it is a high-end ps2. the only bad
thing about buying the japanese version, is that it doesn't
have SCART nor component. it only has s-video and composite
outs.

but.. it seems i have missed a part of your initial
question... it is MUCH better to have a dvd-player/recorder,
a separate surround-reciever and a separate radio, and so
forth. If you get a dvd-reciever (a dvd-player AND
surround-reciever at once), the electricity needed to power
the DVD-player can interfer with the electricity used for
powering the amplifyer and the filters, and you get
shit-sound.

if you want good stuff, you get a reciever where you can
turn off the display and any lights so that you get almost
NO electrical interference AT ALL!

then you get a DVD-player/recorder with optic digital out,
and buy yourself an optic cable (even though it doesn't
matter how much shielding these things've got, i recommend
you buy monstercables optic cable.. they wont snap and crack
so easily).

best sound quality for film. some DVD-players have
good-quality CD-sound, but for the BEST quality, a separate
CD-player is recommended.
