Friday (technically thats today as its 4:50am) we are off
and out of town for the weekend, playing 3 out of town
shows, 1 in lethbridge and 2 in calgary, its not as far as
weve gone before in any regard, but its a heft 6 hours of
driving there 1 way, not to mention on the way back,
hopefully Ill have some juicy pics and maybe video for you
guys to snack on when I get back, wish us luck...

also our band just got our merch made, we have 2 styles of
shirts, 2 different kinds of patches, hats, and pins!
yeah!..... hopefully a full cd release on a real label will
occur within this summer, things are looking real bright for
us now. Anyways... ill see ya guys before I go one more time
and then im outsie for the weekend, oh yeah!

thanks boys. it went well let me tell some ....

1st night we almost died on the road more than once, the
drive got so dangerious from blowing winds and fucking fog
all over the road. the show went really well despite the
fact that the bar only had 1 mic and I had to keep my memory
sharp to remember the other band members lyrics so I could
keep all the songs together, it sounded really good on its
own so everything turned out ok, the crowd really enjoyed us
and the pit was looking mighty rough, no one wanted us to go
off stage, so we played all our old material then some new
ones we are jamming out back home. it was amazing for us,
went over really well. defenitly be going back to that city
soon.

we toured with an all girl punk band, crusty punk group
named the homewreckers, not really our style at all, but let
me say these girls can thrash it out hard and oh my oh my
are they ever fuckin hot! haha it was great, the hotel room
we had, we had fire extinguisher fights at like 6am due to
being overly drunk and non caring. hah.

the 2nd night was excellent as well, we showed up to the bar
and were like "what the fuck?" it was a small, classy little
place, with a capacity of about only 80 people, the place
was full and we played with 2 other bands and the girl band
that came on the road with us. the show went well and people
liked it alot, got told we need to come back real soon, sold
some shirts and pathes.... nice nice...

over all it was great and we got our name out there a lot
more, we are doing 5 shows in the next 2 months, probably
more though, in just our city and when spring hits we will
go back and add 3 extra cities onto the little tour.

hopefully with the official cd release in the summer we will
be able to do a american tour. cant wait!

God Awful.

And yes its not the best name, but I really like it and so
do my mates, and ofcourse it was literally picked out of a
hat.

Youll see our names on posters around town soon, as we are
doing some shows right away.

offline REFLEX from Edmonton, Alberta (Canada) on 2004-01-26 00:39 [#01048889]

Zephyr Twin: thanks man! really!

well I sing, obvioulsy I write lyrics and help them
construct songs and whatnot.

my buddy jeff plays guitar, and russell plays bass, and
jason drums....

our style is like death metal, punk, grind... all mixed into
one..... its not really definable to be honest, its just
hard and fast!.

TONS of energy goes into playing our live shows, im sweating
like a goddamn pig after even band practice in the basement!
heh.

you can never know about bands that are noisy thrashy, shit
whatever..Back in '93 i went to a fugazi concert. The
opening band was like 12 people on stage with guitars and it
was so shit. Totally washed out. Turns out they were Rancid.
So, all you really need is a good producer.
