hehe .. if it wasn't for finding about the record shop
synaesthesia in the first place, i'd probably be chilling to
my discman tonight :)

there was this little postcard on the wall - the guy saw me
do the double take as i realised it was on tonight!!!

i'll also go see the jackson pollock exhibition, and a video
based exhibition some time at the new art gallery thingness.
melbourne's got it goin' on ..

synaesthesia co-released a hecker 12" with mego!!! and a
fennesz one!!! oh, and there's an official release by
fennesz "live at the revolver, Melbourne" .. crazy crazy

just for the record, this gig went off like a mother/!

in/ingcredible... such a showman - he sang darn cold way o'
lovin as well as some other head on hits, but i can't
remember their names, ... he did some soulful reinditions of
some pretty familiar songs, but i couldn't place them ..
"time is on my side?" - but they were only interludes
between the full on - funkier faster fatter and badder than
head on type songs .. just think, sampling beatboxing on the
fly, and then beatboxing over top of that - and then singing
over top of that, whilst twiddling some korg knobs and/or
scratching his kaoss pad (no idea if that's what it was),
and then singing/squealing over top of that again,
constantly shuffling the beats, whilst jerking to his own
beat - a bit like the chicken dance (only in black/white
striped pj's). a man of class!!

there must have been at least 5 last songs!! so /in
brilliant .. "thank you guys" was the catch phrase for the
night.

the man gets high on his own voice.

Lidell's performance at Nesh is one of my favorites ever.

ah um hope that afx plays somethin other than ache drum and
base acid for his melbourne show. In sydnee he was good for
like 7 minutes out of 2.5hours. Then again it was at the
metro. Did anyone catch the gabba, systems corrupt party?
