I guess no one really knows, 'cept for warp and boc
themselves. But it'd make perfect sense to me, being a leap
year and all (february 29??)

yeah, 29th feb is only every 4 years, or am i wrong? :-p
2004 there is 29th feb and boc has this kind of mystery in
its music and sense for humor they have too :-p on the other
hand fans can "guess" when the album could come out and this
date sounds especially good for their ears, i think... i
hope they release the new album soon. Somewhere i read, boc
themselves said that fans will be surprised how it will
sound. this means??? next album is deathmetal album with boc
flair?

Remembering Geogaddi, it'll probably be far later then we
expect.

I'm not getting my hopes up for this anytime soon-I think
it's comming out ages away.

micky, hey micky

If you record the phrase 'Boards of Canada: 2004 is a Leap
Year', and then play it backwards you get...

'David Koresh: Keeper of the Seven Seals. Branch Davidian.
Branch Davidian. Branch Davidian.'

Fact!

i have had a 30 second sample of a supposed track of their
new album. i havent a clue if its authenitic, but it does
sound like it could have been created by the dynamic duo. i
must say, if it is them, its 100% un-boc like, other than
the kick ass melody. it has a very breaky almost DnB like
beat. sounds warpspeed fast compared to their other work.
very good though. although i WAS praying for a trip back to
the school of olde for BOC, i'll take what i can get.

No set date has been announced for the new BoC album, and
nobody outside Hexagon Sun has heard it.

Joyrex, or anyone:

What does hexagon sun consist of? It is them, a band, some
film makers? Is it just a art posse?

what do you mean with old boc style? as on twoism
hi-scores?

I do like hi-scores, as though their mhtrtc and geogaddi.
Unfortunately I haven't heard twoism and in a beautiful
place out of the country or so, yet. Peel sessions neither.

Anyway, geogaddi and music has the right to children is
fucking awesome! I think their next album will be the next
logical step from geogaddi. I know it will surprise me and i
know that i will love it! I already love it! I cannot wait
:'(

Hexagon Sun is a collective of people who make artwork
(other than music), and live with and around BoC. It's also
the name of BoC's studio. Just regular people. They also
help run the music70 website.

hexagon sun do all the crap jobs that boc themselves are too
important to do.

how can a sun be a hexagon? a hexagon is a 2 dimensional
object. boc haven't got a clue.

Aaah, but if it were referring to the sun being that shape
then surely it would be called Hexagonal Sun. The fact it
isn't means it's two random words, which leaves me with the
inevitable conclusion: wibble.

you people must enjoy torture, lets all just shut up about
boc and try to forget em, cuz if we dont were gonna go crazy
speculating when what comes out and how it will sound what
numbers will occur often and when their octagon moon cover
record is released

offline earthleakage from tell the world you're winning on 2004-01-21 08:47 [#01042712]

IF it was referring to the shape, not a particualar type of
sun, i.e. black hole, hexagon, or whatever, it would be
hexagonal shaped sun, even though with further thought they
are trying to encourage people to look at the sun and burn
the back of their retinas therfore going blind? thats not
very sensible advice is it

It takes time for BOC to pull out a new album. As we saw
with Geogaddi, it took all those years for them to go
through their various un-released albums of the past, and
select the material they wanted for their new album. I
guess it will take the same time for their new album

they could do that if they wanted to. send the records so
they get to stores early, then have a fucking extravaganza
on sunday. bands have done it before.

even fucking nintendo did it with the gamecube, and theyre
on the same "tuesday" schedule music is on.
