Yes I did as advised and went and saw him at an Oz music
festival,The Big Day Out if any of you are familar with it.
Quite a good show I must say! Although I did feel a little
unimpressed as the bass wasn't as heavy as I would have
liked.
Uncle Dan if you read this post,it's Blake,we were talking
in the middle of the floor infront of Aphex.Anyways The show
was awesome but not good enough to sway me from my
Progressive/Goa/Psy/Trance :P.

i don't really know what Progressive/Goa/Psy/Trance is, but
i don't like the name of it. i think i'll continue listening
to country.

i was there as well. the show was amazing (althought i guess
thats what everyone says about seeing afx (and vibert) for
the first time). started off very hiphoppy, they played a
few tracks of yosepH. i love acid, freak time baby, and
another, although i cant put a name to it. and yeah then it
kinda switched over to psytrace sorta sounding stuff,
thought i heard some recognisable afx stuff and something
squarepusher, but i cant put names to them either. anyway it
was a fucking awesome show i was about 2 metres from the
stage. if anyone gets a recording of this set, please email
me bahnabix@hotmail.com

umm, so he's always playing easier stuff like hip hop and
such when he's palying with vibert?

was there any gabba, drill n bass, jungle, drum n bass?

He played loads of electro the time I saw him, but also lots
of Hellfish and Snares stuff. Wicked.

exactly, so im hoping he is not going to start playing hip
hop now. i hope this is just thing he's doing when playing
with vibert :)
i like the harsh stuff.

Infected Mushroom is the only type of trance worth checking
out... I prefer their earlier releases personally... very
acidic and thumping shit! tops.

man .. twas pretty easy getting up the front here in akl.
don't think the tent was very full ... had some friends that
came 15 minutes late to the aphex gig and just came straight
up front?! don't most of the people were into the acid hip
hop at the start .. and then the industrial-esque/drill mash
ups were the other extreme :)

does salmonella dub play in oz?
