I don't know if I'd personally pick a sports person as a
heroe... I really admire Gandhi...

I thought this thread was going to be about the David Bowie
song "Heroes".

for the le corbusier fan
the villa savoie (somewhat incomplete) done for a VR
project. the measurements are accurate too. I live 5 minutes
away from it so I spent two whole days in there measuring
and taking texture-photos :)

I'll repost it if I ever get round to finishing it. It lacks
a fair amount:
grass around it, vegetation in the patio area, a few doors,
some drain pipes, safety rails, people, furniture, a better
lighting model. Actually I did the grass (a few blades
arrayed over a uneven landscape but that resulted in the
render taking a few days!!! Looked bloody realistic
though!
I managed to get the architectural plans from Poissy town
hall (not the originals - a set created for the recent
restoration) too :)

how big do you want them? Originally they are A3 but my

hdd and see what I have.

damn I was going to post all the photos too but they're
80megs zipped and I haven't enough room online. Here are the
floor plans. I have side plans and a sliced projection too
but I can't scan them at the moment.

and lance armstrong is overrated. He doesn't even come close
to merckx or hinault.

There's also a VMRL walkthrough online here. It's
not that amazing though. Once my thesis is done I'm going to
start over and do both a 1st-person quake-like version and a
static 3dmaxed mockup and present them to the Poissy tourist
board.
