i don't know if tolstoyed has changed her mind over the
years....but since i first bought the ok computer tape back
in 90s and then the cd....i think it's radiohead's best
album. they can pack and draw the curtaings down.

i'm listening to it now ....it sounds so emo cause of that
yorkism all around....but it's very good.

I dislike Thom's voice a lot and his lyrics and whole
schtick don't do anything for me now but the music on this
album still lays me out. The ringing guitar starting at 3:43
of Let Down is one of my Special Music Moments.

And pretentious probably wasn't the best word to use...
because I think they're honest as all get out. Maybe
''monochromatic emotionally'', or something. I don't know. I
definitely don't agree with what I said in 2004 though.

The backing tracks as they are now... I think would be an
interesting listen sans vocals, there's a lot to hear. But
the songs were designed to house vocals, so I don't think
I'd be too crazy about it except as a curiousity...

...but an album that uses the same sounds and tricks and
everything would be awesome if it was specifically designed
to be instrumental.

but if you say you like jamie lidell - i might be the first
person on xlt to begin to really like you the way you are.

cause some of the versions on multiply-additions are great.

lidell is alright, he did couple of ace songs, and both his
albums are strong though nothing too exceptional music wise.
it's good fun music, makes you feel good and doesn't need
too much thinking. also he seems like a swell dude and does
an ace live show. and above all i like his attitude towards
music and world. i think there's a bit of a nihilist in him.

he's a bit mad, that's what i like best of him. a bit of
madness in you saves you from taking this clueless
world/existence too serious.
