you can get those little portable turntables for around $200, they are pretty good, and you can take them to the record stores :p but if your going to take up scratching/juggling/mixing whatever get a set of 1200s or even some vestax decks |

When you say money is no object... do you mean you're prepared to pay upwards of £1000? Or more like £300-400? |

well yeah, £1000+ is probably a bit excessive for someone who's completely new to decks and would probably only use them mainly for listening anyway i suppose. |
