Yeah, this act (defektro) is far better than Merzbow. All
Masami Akitia is nowadays is a guy with a laptop.

and fuck snares...beefcake is far superior (since i'm on the
subject of musically debunking what most ppl tend to praise
as the best of it's genre).

also, you ppl need to check out an artist called "posthuman.
" that i'm shareing on slsk. it's definatly lush IDM. Worth
checking out for any r.devine fans.

In some ways even better...far better (if your into warmer
soundscapes, and tend to get sick of computer-chopped
beats).

wow, I really don't care what the music is like, just from
that photo, they get a lot of respect, for playing a
chainsaw synth or whatever it is. I love homebrow stuff :)

heh. they're one of the best. Noize (IMO) needs a
performance art aspect ot it. It's in the genre's history.
All merzbow does anymore is sit behind his mac. no whaleing
away on his analogue. just *click* and all the magic
happens.

I've tried talking to these people but most of them can
hardly speak english, so i had to describe what i wanted in
a distortion pedal using only schematic/fx pedal lingo.
"High-pass filter, onegai!" "knob here! input there!"

anyways; there's a LOT of acts that put on shows with their
noize. These guys just make their own instruments.

im still trying to download this, but it's apperantly
extremly hard to get...or maybe i have all the bad luck.

it's probably extremely hard to get... no reference on AMG
nor anything...

- but apart from the performance aspect, what do you think
of the music itself (defektor vs. merzbow)?

just a shithole?
