we had huge portable vinyl players instead of those flashy
MD or MP3 players

besides skipping all the time you had to wear awful big
pants to fit em in

ah, but you're just a whippersnapper compared to me..

in my time, you had to carry a midget-on-a-strap around, who
would whistle your favourite tunes.
talk about skipping.. burping and farting was also a
problem. as was sudden death.

bah! amateurs! We had nothing but a triceratops with a hole
in the horn, and you had to carry the triceratops around
your neck on a straw and blow in the hole in the horn to
make one-toned music!

You all think you're so high and mighty.

In my day human beings hadn't even discovered the concept of
melody yet! We just sat around making random grunts and
howls, now that was music.

i'm not that old. but my dad tells a tale of his youth,
when all they had for music was a stick and a rock and if
you were rich, a mongrel dog to kick.

my father always tells stories of his youth, when there was
no sound.

if you were VERY rich you could once in a while wave at
someone.

back in the day we carried pertol-powered barrel organs to
blow out our fave aphex tunes.

Vordhosbn kind of sounded like this:
"TUTUTURUTUTUTU BOOM TSH TSH TSH TURUTUTU BOOM TSH BOOM
TSSSHH FIZZZZ TRTRTRTR BOOOOOM TSH!"

Fuck modernisation
