..right.. I don't actually want to talk about the promo
pressing, but the original chiastic slide topic was closed!

(see here)

so this one'll have to do.

love this record.

it was the first complete autechre lp I owned and I used to
listen to it back to back, for weeks on end.

yah.

yes, this is maybe my favorite... it was the second album of
theirs I bought, and unfortunately nothing since has been as
good... but they still kick ass...

This is an incredible album that truly sets them apart from
most of their peers. As far as I'm concerned only Aphex
created work of such lasting beauty.

Crunchy goodness.

Great album,
They should have released this as a 2 disc set, including
Envane and Cichli Suite on the second disc. They could have
called it Chiastic Slide++

This album has gotten me through tough times. Like when my
parents died in a Winnebago fire.

Why is everyone so harsh on Pule? One of my friends said he
hated it too and he's a huge Ae fan also. This isn't a
criticism, I'm just wondering what turns people off.. it's
actually my favorite track on the LP. Recury, Tewe, and
Nuane are also amazing.

pule is one of my favorites

although i'm not too fond of the last song which people tend
to like.

I like Pule, with the 'breathing' kind of sound, very
organic.

The track I dislike on this is Cichli, and that is all, the
rest are great

Apart from the fact they ripped my style off at the time, it
is one of my favourite releases by awetekure. A really deep
album.

I don't know, I find it quite repetitive, and there's also
some ugly distortion caused by the reverb..

It's not that bad, but it's not very good either.

have been left off. Ciapter and cichli are amazing however.

for me, tri repetae was a dead end and is my least favorite
ae album. in contrast, chiastic slide reinvented and
expanded their sonic palette dramatically. along with lp5,
this is one of the highlights of their catalog.

the synth-y sound in recury reminds me of the music playing
when your in the castle levels in super mario brothers

i feel i never really got into this album, it's been a while
since i listened to it, i remember liking tracks 3 and 4
(and the last one maybe), but the rest never really did it
for me.
i think i should give it some more listens since everyone is
so enthusiastic 'bout this one
i'm sure though that it won't top confield and lp5 as my
personal favourites though

OH MY GAWD

a friend sent me some songs over msn a while ago, and seeing
as before this all i heard was their first 3 albums i was
like "wtf is this annoying glitchy crap?!"
then after some time i playlisted them all to just surf the
net to, and i realized something, this was brilliant!
so i go and buy the album, listen to it on my awesome
speakers, this was even more brilliant!

overall, i love this album, just had to say :)

i have decided that some of these songs deserve a music
video.

i can sort of visualize something up that would go well with
all the static and glitch.

any idears?
