Haven't heard any Venetian so couldn't say whether it is gobledy goop or what not - the other comments sound quite mouth watering actually. ? µ-ziq is pretty damn cool - love the US version of Lunatic Harness .. But um .. mr. Squarepusher aint all too shabby either now is he? What about mr. Booth n Brown What about Funkstorung ?? I don't know, I personally wouldn't say µ-ziq is BY FAR the best apart from RDJ.. I mean yeah, sure he's got some real fun stuff etc. But um .. like the artists mentioned above I think are serious contenders even RDJ level? I mean, I'm sure Crayon Kid would have a word or two to say about mr. Raczynski ??? :) |

I like µ-ziq, I've Lunatic Harness and Royal Astronomy and they're good albums. Some song is amazing but other songs aren't so beautiful, anyway I like the Mike Paradinas' work. Woofer |

Ick, I just downloaded VSnare songs, and there was a couple OK tracks, but it was a letdown, to say the least. And Squarepusher is great, but Mikey P is even better! |

I'm getting into "printf" by Venetian Snare and it has it's moments but i reckon Squarepusher has spoiled VS for me for he's done all what VS on this record seems to be going for.... As for mu-ziq.......hmm, gotta hear more stuff but only some of 'in pine effect' has grabbed me and only some of 'mike n rich' has too. If i could mix, i'd defo throw some of his tracks in, but the albums aint't grabbed my nuts so far..... |

Havn't heard venetian snares yet. But lunatic harness (and the shorter ep I forget what it's called) I thought was ok, but not REALLY great, it sounds like the composer was drunk. The actual song lunatic harness is my favorite by him, it's funny using idiotic samples of his rappingish voice instead of drums (see mp3.com/12 I think "microphone villain) for a similar effect.) I put lunatic harness in a tape in my car and I'm too lazy to make another one, so I hear this album way too much. Percussiony music is good for cars because direct loud short sound bursts aren't interfered with very much the noisy engine and other general noise pollution of driving. Maybe if I listened to his stuff on headphones it would be better but I listen to it enough in the car so want to hear something else. |
