I think that I will try this. I downloaded the wavs from
qrter's "server" pefore I heard the actual track (only part
1 and 2 cuz they take really long). Some of these are really
awesome, particularly rexbeat1 and 9bar harsher. Those both
would be awesome developed by themselves, alone. In the case
of this song, it's parts are definately better than the
whole in my opinion. When you play these parts, which are
fantastic by themselves, together, they distract from
eachother. For example the long droning notes take away the
detail of other things. Putting all of these things together
seems like a failed attempt to make a single grand
composition. Plus I think that generally parts need to sound
similar somehow to be in harmony usually.

Just checked and it's bass2b- the track I've used it in is a
lot faster and entirely different sounding instrument
(classic "hoover" sound) and up an octave... if I'd not told
you you would never recognise it.

Don't worry, if I ever finish it, I'll let you listen to it
first for approval before making it available and credit
you. Alternately, if you really dislike the idea, you have
my word I'll delete the track :)

cool :) REX files are basically ReCycle files which cut up
the wav file so you can re-arrange it and re-sequence it :)
groovy mix!

the orchestra samples make it sound like ambient noise, or
majestic noise. Excellent stuff. :)

the next couple of days with all the links to the mixes so
far and links to the packs again, as some potential
mixers/listeners may be put off by the 93 posts this thread
has :)

I don't normally big up my own tracks, but I'm very very
pleased with the way it turned out. Not to say it's
outstanding- just that it's as I intended it to be.

Well Marlowe, after almost two years we've finally done it.
Now all I need is that remix from you and we'll be able to
commence on the Jungle or Ragga track :)
