ah! but that's the thing, you see!

I do not want mp3s, I would like you to record it to wav and
then burn it on cd-r!!

that is the cleanest and most direct way to get a copy, if
all recording stuff in between is okay.

that's what I meant with "capabilities" - I for one, could
not do this (do not have the equipment).
