help me decide what cds to get

for christmas this year i got a lot of gift certificates
and i want you (xltronic members) to help me decide what to
buy. first, i for borders/amazon.com and already placed an
order for these:

Freescha - Slower than Church Music
Richard Devine - Asect:Dsect

Those have already been ordered so i probably can't change
them or anything. I also got enough gift certificates for
Barnes and Noble that i figure I can get about 8 cds. these
are 8 that i have selected:

yee-king - super user : i have heard this is a good
album. opinions?

funkstörung - appetite for disctruction : i have not
heard anything by this artist/group, what are your thoughts
(this is the only full-length available at bn.com)

jega - spectrum : i have geometry and it is
excellent. from the samples this seems to be in a very
different style however. how does this compare to
geometry?

jetone - ultramarin : i have only heard "ginotopia"
by this artist from the tigerbeat6 inc compilation, and i
think it is an very good track. i haven't seen this artist
mentioned here. has anyone heard it?

push button objects - dirty dozen : my favorite
tracks from "ghetto blaster" are hustlin, 3 doctors, fly,
and 360 degrees, and breakers delight. do you think this is
a good choice?

dat politics - plugs plus : i don't know much about
this group but the samples and the track on tigerbeat6 inc
compilation seem strangely intriguing to me.. tell me about
this group.

venetian snares - chocolate wheelchair : well im
going to have to get this eventually.

prefuse 73 - vocal studies + uprock naratives : not
sure if i want this one or the new album. i like the track
nunu on warp:routine compilation and i would prefer to go in
chronological order. what do you think is better?

what do you think about these choices? please tell me if
you think anything should be added/subtracted/changed on the
list so i can make a well-informed selection. THANK YOU! :D

if you picked 8 cds and you can only get 8, then it's
already decided, innit?

Freescha - Slower than Church Music - Get the new one... I
am not sure if it is out yet, and I forgot the name, but it
is excellent

Richard Devine - Asect:Dsect - Excellent choice

funkstörung - appetite for disctruction : -well done, but
uninspired and uninteresting

jega - spectrum : - Geometry was amazing... spectrum just
kind of sounded like second rate mu-ziq stuff.

push button objects - dirty dozen : excelent... much better
than ghetto blaster, but a bit more idm and less hip hop.
Think earlier autechre

venetian snares - chocolate wheelchair : best venetian
snares album ever

prefuse 73 - vocal studies + uprock naratives : get both
this and the new one... but get this one first.

well these are just some that i was thinking about getting.
the only ones i have already ordered are the first 2 from
borders/amazon. i would like to know if the others are good
selections, and what is bad and maybe something that could
replace it. sorry if there was any confusion..

i already have all autechre albums and i'm just missing a
few hard to find eps. autechre is probably my favorite
artist/group right now (except for bola maybe)

Get the new Freescha, What's Come Inside You. Album of the
year. Can't really go wrong either way, though.

Freescha - Slower than Church Music
Richard Devine - Asect:Dsect
both excellent!

yee-king - super user
i remember liking it a lot, but haven't listen to it in a
long lomg time...

funkstörung - appetite for disctruction
jega - spectrum
not my thing...

jetone - ultramarin
this is tim hecker who's one of my favourite artists!!!
it's different to stuff he's releasing under his real name,
more beats, nice stuff

push button objects - dirty dozen
dat politics - plugs plus
don't know these two...

venetian snares - chocolate wheelchair
one of best releases this year...

prefuse 73 - vocal studies + uprock naratives
don't like it at all, probably one of worst albums i ever
bought...

personally i'd avoid prefuse 73

choc wheelchair is a very good cd

dirty dozen is good but not awesome

i bought jega's spectrum first and it is great for its time
- make sure you get the matador version as that has "unity
gain" on it which the uk version doesnt have and its
absolutly blinding

funkstorung is overated
personally i'd get one of funckarmas side projects quench -
i have "punctuated" as its great as a autechre variant but
stands up on its own merit

yee king is a good acid style album

and freesha's "slower than church music " is a really good
ambient album with more than a hint of menace

the others havent interested me as of yet
