I got 130. I don't think this is very accurate as lots of it is subjective- for example, are thumbs fingers?- and also some of it is knowledge based. I'm no less *intelligent* for not being able to do simple maths in american currency as I am unfamiliar with it. If it was in punds sterling I would have got it right. |

the iq test is inaccurate i'm sure. i believe in psychology we learned that 100 or so is average. the fact that everyone is coming up with mid 140's (genius level or very superior and makes for .4% of the population) can't be right. i don't think there would be such a large concentration of geniuses on this board. if so, you'd all be out inventing youth machines and not be here. i stated that 90 or less is retarded. it's not. i was quoting some other test. around 50 or so i think is retardation. |

obviously the test is bull. i wouldn't be surprised if you could get a high score by taking the test and then saying it took you a minute to do it. i'm guessing that they take your time and how many you got right and do some sort of division and multiplication problem to get the supposed iq. iq tests are much more controlled than this too. |

IQ tests are legacy of the euginists and darwinists who seriously believed in seperation of races and classes and used tests like these to justify ghettoization and sterilization and at worst euthenesia when all of these ideas were picked up by the Nazis...most of the minority races and immigrants etc had the odds stacked against them with the culturally specific questions relating to rich middle class white individuals...the racist elements of IQ testings reared it's ugly head only recently with the BELL CURVE bollocky book in the US a couple of years ago, where they authors once again tried to validate white supremacy with test results done in predominantly white and predominatly coloured schools and comparing results..ugly ugly business |

IQ tests are beyond arbitrary - it hinges on the definition of what intelligence is: and this thing, we like to call intelligence, is impossible to define in any non-biased way. Why do people need a quantative measure of intelligence? If you must judge people, base it on what they achieve (or not as the case may be). I know some people who are very bright with classical educations who don't harm anyone else and live very bohemian lifestyles. I was kidding... but yeah, I don't put much faith in a number representing iq... I know when I write tests, I get nervous, and I don't perform as well as I could... meaning, for me, a grade from an iq test wouldn't be an accurate representation of my iq I don't think... |
