Well Aphex Twin is ONE of my favorite artists... others include Peter Gabriel, Radiohead, maybe Steely Dan (cause I love em dammit!!!)... Aphex Twin I wouldn't say is better then those artists, cause I like them all for different reasons... |

oh, and Boards of Canada is amazing... Music has the Right to Children is one of my favorite albums, but I only have one album of theirs, so I can't really say they are one of my favorite artists... well I guess I can, so yeah Boards of Canada as well... |

I like to think in terms of individual tracks as to what is better because some artists make good tracks and not so good tracks. Also it's all subjective to a persons individual listening tastes but I find the following are also really good, better or worse is too hard to because there are no handy units like meters by which to measure: crunch "1" otto von schirach "8000 bc" autechre (newer albums (and chichli)) funkstorung "appetite for disctruction" |

you mean talented and skilled, then no one is better than aphex twin in the techno world. but there are other people who are more skilled than aphex with instruments, just look at metal, some are extremely talented: for example, slayer, gwar, enslaved, fantomas |
