warm place is very similar to that Bowie track but its not identical.
anyways, id say completely avoid pretty hate machine, its his worst album by far, completely uninspiring. get the downward spiral.

you are, ofcourse, wrong.
I still like Pretty Hate Machine the most - least bullshit (soundwise, that is - his lyrics have and probably will always be an unrelentless bullshitfest), in many places harder than any later release has tried to be.
