hia, got a problem with copy and paste in fl 4.1

I can use the copy command in both the playlist and the step
sequencer but when i want to paste something for example.

When i want to paste a beat from pattern 1 to pattern 2 i
cant paste, i can only paste like a snare roll in pattern
one to another thing in pattern one

so i cant copy something from one pattern to another, i can
only copy/paste in the same pattern >=(

any1 know what the problem is ?

all this copying stuff worked fine in fl 3
and was/is a very important command for me... id be very
thankfull for any help

I think you can select them all "green" then copy, paste,
and everything is in.

I found it annoying 2.

Yeah you know, a channel is "selected" a little green light
is activated... select them all holding down CTRl or
something.... i think it works.

That's what i do,but when i then scroll down to pattern 2
and try to paste them their it wont work, the paste command
is gone in the list =(

i did try ctrl c then ctrl v YES =P

hmmz, now it's really weird, i copied a pattern, but when i
got to pattern 2 it didnt work again as usuall, then i
unmarked all the chanels and marked them again and it
suddently worked "YAY"

but that will still be a pain in the ass when im working
with a song with a shitloads of chanels that i need to copy,
and espesially when i need to copy like 46 chanels of 70 =/

but... hmm im on my way =D thanks for the tips

its much easier than you think.

In the 'playlist' where you set up all your patterns, you
can copy the entire pattern.
Select the pattern you want to copy then hit "shift+ctrl+c"
and it will duplicate the pattern. do this as many times as
you need.

But.. lets say i have pattern number 1.

I copy it with the "shift+ctrl+c and it gets duplicated

But it gets duplicated right underneath pattern 1.

I make quite deatailed music and i ususally jsut make 1 long
row of patterns
u know

1
.2
..3
...4
...."empty"
.....6
......7
.......8
........9

like that, so the ctrl shift c makes my patterns fuck up =/

i would like to be able to copy so i can continue underneath
the whole row..

dunno if u get my point but hmmz, thanks for the tip =)

btw, why the hell have they took away so many of the small
knobs on the channel setting ? u know the basic dist and the
sine fx's and the crap reverb's ?

i liked the sine fx's and the dist.. the dist where really
good if u wanted to add some extra volume to a single weak
sound.

offcourse i know u can use the FX parts and the new mixer to
manage ur channels and to add distortion and everything..
but im just a bit sad they took away the other ones, they
where quick and didnt take up any CPU =,(

i have never used the piano roll much, i dont really like
it. i prefere step sequencer + keyboard editor to playlist
and then split everything up into to different "parts" in
the playlist. and that becomes many parts when i work in
high tempo's

that's why i was concerned about that "buggy" "weird"
Copy/Paste problem, but it works fine now, im not used to
FL4 yet thou, im more comfortable in 3 so far, guess it will
change in time, FL4 have some really nice new feuteres
